Sydney FC has secured the future of young defender Jordan Courtney-Perkins, with the Australia Cup 2023 winner signing a new two-year contract to remain in Sky Blue.
The deal will extend Courtney-Perkins’ stay with the club to five years, after the 23-year-old joined Sydney FC from Polish side Raków Częstochowa in 2023.
The versatile defender enjoyed a strong finish to the 2025-26 campaign, playing a key role in Sydney FC’s run to the Isuzu-UTE A-League Grand Final under Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo.
Courtney-Perkins scores an big goal for the club in the Sydney Derby.
The centre-half, who has scored seven goals in 80 appearances for the club, is delighted to continue his journey with Australia’s most successful football club.
“I’m really happy to be staying at Sydney FC for another two years,” he said.
“I’ve loved my time here and the last few months in particular have been really enjoyable. Working under PK has been fantastic and I feel like I’ve developed a lot as a player.
“Playing in my first A-League Grand Final was a special experience which I will never forget.
“It’s given me motivation to improve and help this club achieve more success.
“There’s a great group of players and a lot of exciting young talent coming through which I’m excited to be part of.”
Courtney-Perkins scored this goal of the season contender in 2024.
Courtney-Perkins’ form during the latter stages of the campaign saw him establish an impressive partnership in central defence and continue to build on his reputation as one of the league’s most promising young defenders.
His potential was also recognised previously by Kisnorbo, who selected Courtney-Perkins in the 2024 A-League All Stars who famously beat English Premier League side Newcastle United 8-0.
Kisnorbo praised the contribution made by Courtney-Perkins since his arrival.
“Jordie has been excellent since I came to the club and made an enormous contribution in helping us reach the Grand Final.
“He formed an exciting partnership alongside Poppa [Alexandar Popovic] and as a young centre-half pairing they showed real potential for the future.
“He will be an important player for us over the next two years and we are delighted to have re-signed him.”

Courtney-Perkins will return to training with Sydney FC at the end of June as preparations begin for the Sydney Super Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur and the Australia Cup 2026 campaign.
