Talay names squad for Wrexham AFC clash

Sydney FC Head Coach Ufuk Talay has revealed a 23-player squad for the friendly clash with global docu-series sensations Wrexham AFC at Allianz Stadium tomorrow evening (7.30pm).

The Sky Blues add Lachie Middleton, Marin France and Will Kennedy are added to the squad who defeated Hakoah Sydney City 7-0 in a training game last Tuesday night, while Oscar Gultekin drops out.

Douglas Costa has been given leave to remain in Brazil to sort out a personal matter while Alex Grant and Leo Sena are both unfit.

Douglas Costa has been given leave to remain in Brazil to attend to some personal things.

“We’ve given him [Costa] some extra time, he needs to sort out some personal stuff back in Brazil and once he sorts that out he’ll be back here with us,” said Head Coach Ufuk Talay.

“He [Alex Grant] is tracking well, he won’t be involved tomorrow evening. We are getting him ready for Western United,” continued Talay.

“At the moment he’s been doing some isolated training but after the Wrexham game he’ll be involved with the team.”
