Meanwhile young Academy stars Joseph Calusic, Nickolas Alfaro, Tyler Williams, Pearson Kasawaya, Mathias Macallister and Will Kennedy have all been included in the Sky Blues squad.

Will Kennedy is one of the young Academy players named in Sydney FC’s AFC Champions League 2 squad.

The young players follow in a long line of former young Sky Blues such as Patrick Wood, Joel King, Cameron Devlin, Marco Tilio and Patrick Flottman who have been named at a young age into the larger squads to give them first team experience.

Asian Football Confederation rules allow for squads of up to 35 players in the ACL 2 with room to register more until five days before the first game or change three up until 31st October.

All tickets to see Douglas Costa’s debut are available from Ticketek with all adult tickets at $30 and juniors at $15.
