Sydney FC Members have joined Chairman Scott Barlow, CEO Tony Pignata, Coach Frank Farina and Captain Terry McFlynn to have their say and discuss the future of the club.

The annual forum was held at the Allianz Stadium and the panel answered questions from the floor and explained to Members their thoughts on the strategy of the club moving forward.

Topics for discussion ranged from the Sky Blues on-field performances, to talk of the club-s community and fan engagement policy.

The Members heard Chairman Scott Barlow say the Asian Champions League was a key aim for the club as well as ensuring Sydney FC is globally recognised as Australia-s leading football club.

The Chairman also said the club would continue to look for quality, high profile marquee players like Alessandro Del Piero in future.

“It was great,” said CEO Tony Pignata. “We had a great turnout of nearly 100 people. There were open questions and I really enjoyed the format.

“We have that interaction and we hear what people are thinking,” he continued.

“It-s very hard for us to make decisions without knowing what our fans think and what they like.”

Member Simon Pearson was happy with what he heard.

“We got a bit of direction from where management thinks the club is going,” he said. “There were a couple of ideas from the floor and it was a really good forum for both sides.”

“It was good and informative and my questions were answered,” said fellow Member Paul Oliveri.

Tas Evgeniou also believes he benefitted from the evening which lasted well over an hour and a half.

“Tonight was pretty productive and I think they [the club] got something out of the fans and the reverse. Hopefully it-ll be good on the field,” he said.
