Hyundai A-League Champions Sydney FC has signed a one-match partnership with Mediland Pharm which will see the Chinese pharmaceutical company become the club’s front of shirt sponsor for the Sky Blues friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Suzhou, China tomorrow night (10pm AEST).

The game is expected to attract a television audience of over 55 million in 20 different countries, with football megastars such as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar set to line-up against the Sky Blues.

The jersey carries the logo for Ian’s Health Lounge, and its name in Chinese, above the words “a subsidiary of Mediland”.  Mediland recently announced the completion of the first stage of the acquisition of Ian’s Health Lounge, and its on-line e-commerce platform.

Sydney FC Chairman Scott Barlow said: “We are delighted that Mediland has agreed to sponsor our jersey, particularly with it being the first time this design has been worn by our players.

“As a Sydney-based company serving the needs of Chinese tourists, we believe Mediland is a very good fit for our match against PSG with it taking place in China.”

Chairman of Mediland Pharm, Dr Peter French said: “This sponsorship is a great way to promote the Mediland name in China, where our customers are based.

“These two high profile clubs, Sydney FC and Paris St Germain, will attract a very big viewing audience in China, and we anticipate that the exposure from the jersey sponsorship will be a great springboard for our expansion on the back of the Ian’s Health Lounge acquisition.

“We would like to wish Sydney FC all the best for the game.”

Sydney FC have arrived in Suzhou and will train today at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre ahead of tomorrow’s match.

The match will be shown in Australia on beIN Sports 1 from 9.25pm AEST on Tuesday night while it will also be covered on Twitter via the @SydneyFC and @beINSPORTS_AUS handles.
