Sydney FC Injury Report

Sydney FC Head of High Performance Chris Pappas updates on the Sky Blues’ latest rehabilitation ahead of some crucial games.

Adam Le Fondre – hamstring

Alfie is back on the training pitch and progressing with his recovery.  We are looking to get clearance for him to return to the match day squad full in the next two weeks.

Kosta Barbarouses – fibula

Kosta will have an intro to running on the training field tomorrow which is the first step to him returning to full training in the next two weeks.

Luke Brattan – knee (ACL)

Luke is six weeks post-surgery.  He is continuing to work on his rehab and it’s going well.  He will take a short break to allow things to settle after a few weeks of three to four days of rehab before coming back to continue to improve.

Connor O’Toole – knee

Connor took part in an internal practice match and is close to returning to the match day squad.  Our initial diagnosis of an 8-12 week return is on course and we could see him back in contention this week or next.

Sydney FC’s Connor O’Toole has been sidelined since sustaining a knee injury against Wollongong in pre-season.

Michael Zullo – calf

Michael also played in a 11 v 11 practice match and got through 60-70 minutes.  He is on course to return very shortly.

Calem Nieuwenhof – groin

Calem is continuing to undergo treatment but he is taking it slow, he will continue to be assessed while building up strength in his affected area.

Chris Zuvela – knee (ACL)

Chris is back in the training group and has started some light pitch-based drills.

Covid-19 Patients

Sydney FC has no currently players or staff affected by Covid-19.
