Sydney FC’s Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League Champions will be defending their titles in kit designed by the global leader in performance sportswear and equipment.
Under Armour, who are represented by the likes of Liverpool and England full back Trent Alexander-Arnold, NBA superstar Steph Curry and six-time Superbowl winning quarter-back Tom Brady, will produce all official Sydney FC playing kits and off-field products for the next four seasons.
It’s a first link up with an Australian professional sports team for Under Armour and Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend welcomed the ground-breaking partnership.
“This deal unites two high-performing, ambitious brands who will challenge the Australian sports market and always aspire to be the best,” he said.
“We are excited to be working together on innovative designs for our club’s members as well as driving our players towards optimum on-field performance.”
A custom-designed on-field playing range will be released for the first time in the club’s history in the coming weeks, complemented with an innovative off-field range.
Sydney FC’s Under Armour athletes Milos Ninkovic and Chloe Logarzo expressed excitement at the announcement.
“Under Armour’s sportswear and training gear is unbelievable and it definitely gives us the edge in training,” said Ninkovic.
“With their help, we can challenge ourselves further this season and set new records in our domestic and AFC Champions League campaigns.”
Logarzo continued: “Under Armour will take our game to the next level and drive us to an even greater performance.
“They have some of the most innovative and state of the art products on the market and I can’t wait to see the designs of the new Sydney FC kit.”
