Sydney FC’s School Holiday Clinics have gone international, with a group of young New Zealand players to take part in our Spring Clinics this September.
An U12 team from across the Tasman are making their way to Sydney in the holidays to take part in our Macquarie University Clinic in the first week of the school holidays.
It’s not the first time the Sky Blues have hosted players from overseas at their Clinics, with 19 players travelling from New Zealand in April to take part during the autumn break.
Sydney FC Community Football Manager Paul Reid said he was looking forward to welcoming the Kiwis at Macquarie.
“It’s great to see so many new faces at the various clinics, especially the new contingent of New Zealand players that are taking part as a team at the Macquarie University clinic while they are in Sydney for a week,” he said.
“We hosted a group of 19 players that were 9-10 years of age from New Zealand for a Clinic in the April school holidays and it is great to have the opportunity to coach more players from NZ in the upcoming period.
“Like all of our Clinic participants, the main aim is to ensure they have a fun and memorable experience while improving and being more confident as footballers.”
As well as a clinic at Macquarie University in both weeks of the holidays, Sydney FC will also be running a clinic at Manly Vale, Rose Bay, Kogarah, Sutherland, Lindfield, Leichhardt and Wagga Wagga during the Spring school holiday period.
