Sydney FC Head Coach Ufuk Talay has named his extended 20-man squad for the Sky Blues return to Allianz Stadium this Sunday afternoon at 5pm as three names come into the squad.
The Sky Blues face the Nix boosted by last Saturday’s 3-0 away win at Macarthur FC and Talay has named 17 of the 18 players from the fixture in his extended matchday squad for Sunday.
Young winger Abel Walatee is the one player to miss out as he sits on the sideline with a groin injury.
The injury opens the door for three Sydney FC Academy graduates who join the 20 player squad with winger Marin France, and midfielders Wataru Kamijo and Nicko Alfaro promoted and in with a chance of the final 18.
Talay confirmed recently that Joe Lolley and Al-Hassan Toure remain on the injury list with hamstring and calf injuries respectively with Joe hoping to return for the Sydney Derby on January 31st and Toure the Auckland game the following week.
Young keeper Gus Hoefsloot still has a wrist injury so Alexander Zaverdinos will sit on the bench while striker Mathias Macallister is overseas representing Australia Under 23’s.
