Sydney FC girls return to training for 2023/24 season

The Champions and Premiers, Sydney FC, have returned for the 2023/24 Liberty A-League season as they attempt to repeat the trick and win back to back titles.

This season will be different for the Sky Blues after their Grand Final winning squad was picked to pieces with many players securing a move overseas, forcing head coach Ante Juric to find the next stars of the future.

And find the next stars he has indeed, but also importantly, he has gained the signature of Cortnee Vine, Matildas hero for another season in the Liberty A-League when many clubs were chasing her talent overseas.

With less than 40 days to go until the new campaign gets underway, the Sky Blue women will be aiming to get their fitness up to scratch and show that they are very capable of going back to back.

Ante Juric still has time to finalise his squad of players and he will be hoping to get them in early before the season arrives in next to no time.

The opening game of the season cannot be more mouthwatering with a Sydney Derby taking place at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night primetime. This will also be the first time that the Women’s season will begin before the men, following on from the legacy that the World Cup and The Matildas have created.

Tickets will go on sale shortly for the opening game.
