Sydney FC Fan Representative Group

As part of an APL initiative to ensure Members and supporters views are considered in the APL’s future plans, Sydney FC have created a Fan Representative Group.

The Sky Blues joined all 13 A-Leagues clubs in setting up an individual club group that meets three times a year to discuss the running of the game in Australia.

You can find out more about the Members of our Fan Representative Group [FRG] on this page.

Sydney FC will publish minutes of the Fan Representative Group’s meetings on our website under the Fans section of the Menu.

You can find the minutes from our opening meeting using this link

Michelle Prasad

I’ve been following the Men’s and Women’s SFC teams since their inception. Football has been a large part or my life from a very young age, and I want the best for the sport to thrive in Australia.

David Shaw

I played football from the U9s through to the O45s. My senior playing career was all with Sydney Uni where I also served on the board for 10 years, five as President. Professionally, I’ve been a software engineer for over 25 years. I also worked in Sports Administration for six years as an Operations Manager, overseeing the operation, maintenance and development of sporting facilities and grounds for a wide variety of sports. I attended the very first Sydney FC home game and have been a season ticket holder for 10 years, largely in the Cove. In addition to a football club board, I have also served on boards such as day care centre, P&F and I’m currently chair of my building’s strata committee.

Yousef Hussain

As a long-time supporter and member of the club I’m very excited to be part of this historic new chapter for the sport. I currently work in the sales industry with Mercedes Benz, so I understand how important relationships with stakeholders are. I regularly play Futsal and soccer as a goalkeeper, which I find an extremely fun and rewarding challenge.

Gavin O’Farrell

I’ve been fan of Sydney FC since day 1, attending Season 1, Game 1 and also the Season 1 Grand Final. I have been member for well over a decade. My favourite Sydney FC fan memories have been attending the 1st Sydney Derby, our 1st ever home AFC Champions League match v Urawa Red Diamonds and winning the 2010 Grand Final v Victory in Melbourne.

Michelle Morris

I am a diehard Sydney FC supporter, going into my sixth year as a Cove member. I have been lucky enough to be able to travel around the country supporting the club. With the Women’s World Cup on home soil, hopefully we can see an increase in attendances for our women’s league.

Winston Gentry

My name is Winston, and I currently lead The Cove, a passionate supporter group dedicated to Sydney FC. With a strong background in collaborating with the club, I focus on ensuring our members have the most incredible gameday experience possible while actively addressing their concerns. Additionally, I’ve played a pivotal role in establishing a league-wide fan council in partnership with the APL, aiming to promote positive change within the league and the sport at large.

My love for Sydney FC ignited at the young age of 10, and since then, I’ve witnessed remarkable moments that have deepened my passion for the club. Now, the prospect of uniting with fellow Sydney FC supporters to bring about meaningful changes both for our beloved club and the broader football community in our country fills me with immense excitement.

John (Yianni) Apotsis

I’m John, (aka Yianni), and I fell in love with the Sky Blue side of Sydney during the 2009/10 season and have been a member of the club since 2010. Away from my Sydney FC allegiances, I’m a community level referee and referee developer. With a keen passion for visibility in football, I believe to be able to become something, you need to see it.

Rio Morgan Young

I’m Rio and I’ve been a Sydney FC foundation member since 2005. My first game was the inaugural 2005 Sydney vs Melbourne Victory at the then called Aussie Stadium. I’ve been involved with Football for as long as I can remember being a part of the CDSFA association playing for 15+ years and also refereeing for 5 years. I also have been apart of the UTS futsal team competing at the University Nationals and World Futsal Championships in Florida with UTS.

Sport has also translated into my studies completing a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science in 2019. I am currently working as a Personal Trainer in Sydney’s North Shore.
