Sydney FC To Face Macarthur Rams

Sydney FC will contest their annual pre-season clash against Macarthur Rams on Thursday 30 July as Head Coach Graham Arnold continues his preparations for the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.

The Sky Blues face the PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 2 outfit at Campbelltown Sports Stadium for the fourth year in a row, with Sydney FC running out 5-1 victors in Head Coach Graham Arnold’s first match at the helm last season.

Following their 7-0 victory over Earlwood Wanderers at Leichhardt Oval on Wednesday, Head Coach Graham Arnold said he was looking forward to renewing the Sky Blues relationship with the Rams as he targets continued improvement in their second hit out of pre-season.

“I’m looking forward to contesting this traditional pre-season fixture,” Arnold said.

“It was my first match in charge of Sydney FC last season and I’m eager to see how our squad is developing this pre-season ahead of what will no doubt be another challenging Hyundai A-League campaign.

“I’m sure Macarthur will be a good test for us.”

Macarthur Rams Head Coach John Sopina said he was looking forward to the contest and hopes his squad can be competitive and challenge the Sky Blues.

“It’s my first year as a first grade coach and it’s an absolute privilege to come up against Graham Arnold’s team,” he said.

“The boys from Lynwood Park always give 110% in whatever they try to do and it’s always a good contest for our players.

“I just hope to be competitive and match it, it would be nice to get some sort of result but we’ll just give 110% and see how we go.”

Tickets are available at the gates priced at $10 for adults, $5 for children and $20 for a family (2 adults, 3 children).
