Sydney FC and Telstra have extended their partnership deal for a further two years, following the announcement of the telecommunication company’s rights agreement with Football Federation Australia (FFA).
Telstra will remain the Sky Blues’ Exclusive Telecommunications Partner and Official Technology Partner, with a range of inclusions featuring ticketing, hospitality, and digital media recognition.
The Sky Blues will also benefit from the company’s landmark five year digital rights deal with the FFA, with all Hyundai A-League games and selected FFA Cup and Westfield W-League games to be broadcast on the soon to be launched “My Football Live App”.
Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend welcomed Telstra’s renewal.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Telstra this past season and I know the club has had a long standing great relationship with them over a number of years,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to the future and what’s in store with the new rights deal, I’m excited that Sydney FC games will be available to fans on their mobile devices across the country.
“These are exciting times ahead and I can’t wait for season 2018/19 to kick off, with everyone now able to follow us on our journey both at home and while on the move.”
Sydney FC’s squad will continue training until the end of this week before breaking for holidays and returning in early July for preseason training.
