Bobô celebrates his equaliser with Milos Ninkovic

What They Said: Steve Corica: “We’re disappointed we didn’t get the three points.  I think we deserved them, we created a lot of chances and the keeper made about seven saves.

“I’m pretty sure the keeper would have got man of the match because we kept coming which was very positive and the way we went about creating chances was fantastic.

“A little bit more composure in front of goals and we win that game and take the three points.”

Match Report

Sydney FC had to settle for a point against Wellington Phoenix after Oliver Sail produced a number of fine saves in the Nix goal to keep the Sky Blues at bay.

The Kiwi’s took the lead just before half time when David Ball got clear in the box and turned to shoot.

It came against the run of play after Max Burgess had hit the post and Milos Ninkovic had a shot cleared off the line.

Brazilian striker Bobô struck the equalizer midway through the second half when he finished off a Rhyan Grant right wing cross.

The frontman had a number of other efforts saved by Sail, particularly one in the dying stages as the Nix held on for a draw.
