Match Report

Sydney FC’s fourth game in 13 days has ended in defeat away to Isuzu Ute A-League leaders Melbourne City.

City took the lead midway through the first half when a long-range shot was fired through a sea of legs by Jordan Bos.

James Donachie almost equalized just before the break when a corner was headed against the post.

The Sky Blues started brightly in the second half however a break from a corner saw Leckie head home after VAR ruled Nabbout’s cross hadn’t crossed the goalline.

Two goals from Maclaren and Leckie put the result beyond doubt and the Sky Blues look forward to facing Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United in the next six days.
