Nat Tobin shares her exciting news

Sydney FC is delighted to congratulate Women’s Captain Natalie Tobin and her husband Will on the wonderful news that they are expecting their first child.

She has set the standard both on and off the pitch during the last five seasons as skipper.

“This is such a special and exciting time for Will and I,” she said.

“We’re absolutely over the moon and so grateful for the love and support we’ve received from everyone at Sydney FC.

“The Club is such a big part of our lives and it means a lot to be able to share this moment with our Sky Blue family.”

Tobin will remain Captain of the Sydney FC Women’s squad for the remainder of the season.

While she will no longer be available for match selection, she will continue modified training with the group and work closely with the Club’s medical team to ensure her safety and wellbeing.

Skipper Nat Tobin with husband Will Fiedler, she will remain part of the Sky Blues squad and leadership group while pregnant.

She will also maintain a strong leadership presence within the squad, acting as a mentor to several of the Club’s younger players, supporting the coaching staff from a leadership perspective, and undertaking ambassadorial duties for Sydney FC.

Head Coach Ante Juric said the club was thrilled for Natalie and her family.

“We are absolutely delighted for Natalie and Will on their joyous news and wish them all the very best as they begin this incredible journey towards parenthood,” he said.

“Natalie has been a fabulous leader for this football club and there is no doubt the qualities she’s shown here will translate seamlessly into motherhood.
