Bridge will rest for the next ten days before beginning a rehabilitation program with the clubs medical staff.
“Mark saw foot specialist Kim Slater this morning. He will now undergo a rehabilitation program with the aim of him being available in three to four weeks,” Sydney FC Physiotherapist Stan Ivancic said.
“There was a tear in the plantar fascia ligament of his right big toe.”
John Aloisi, the club-s equal-leading goal scorer this season, was also given good news with the striker expected to play against the Brisbane Roar this Saturday night.
Aloisi left the pitch in the 75th minute of yesterday-s 3-1 win over the Newcastle Jets at EnergyAustralia Stadium after a experiencing a hamstring spasm.
“On assessment we discovered it wasn-t serious and with treatment, recovery and rehabilitation he will be available this week,” Ivancic said.
