Sydney FC & AETOS Join Forces In Shanghai Ahead Of Big Match

Sydney FC is gearing up for a massive AFC Champions League away game against Chinese Champions Shanghai SIPG at Shanghai Stadium tomorrow.  The day before the match, AETOS and Sydney FC attended an exclusive interview from a number of influential sport media in China, including sports.sina.com.cn, sports.qq.com, sports.sohu.com, sports.163.com. Councillor Mike Thomas, Senior Vice President of AETOS Capital Group, paid a special visit to Shanghai to give support to Sydney FC. Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica and Vice Captain Alex Wilkinson also attended the event and were interviewed by the media.

Councillor Mike Thomas said: “We are driven to meet our social responsibilities. AETOS commenced its connection with football since the 2017 AFC Champions League. 2019 is the second year that we have been the principal AFC Champions League sponsor for Sydney FC. Through AETOS’ support and investment, we help to grow football in Australia and provide the best pre-match preparation for the players to participate in these international competitions.”

Councillor Mike Thomas said AETOS was so delighted to meet its social responsibilities through support and investment in Australian football club.

 

Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica said: “We are delighted that AETOS Capital Group extended AFC Champions League partnership with us in the 2019 season. Sydney FC always strive to be the best and to win recognition from football fans in Asia Pacific. Shanghai SIPG is a good team, while we have prepared very well for tomorrow’s game. We are looking to score lots of goals to put us in a very good position to qualify from the group to the last 16 teams.”

Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica will lead the team to qualify for the last 16 teams.

 

Vice Captain Alex Wilkinson said: “We are looking forward to playing against Shanghai SIPG tomorrow and we expect to give them a very tough challenge. Both teams had great performance at last game in Sydney. Boasting the likes of former Chelsea FC starlet Oscar, former FC Porto ace Hulk and Brazlian frontman Elkeson, it will be a big test for the Sky Blues in the competition on tomorrow. However, we will perform our best to win the game.”

 

The Sky Blues Vice Captain Alex Wilkinson showed his determination to win the away match with Shanghai SIPG.

 

In the interview, Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica presented the No. 8 jersey to Councillor Mike Thomas, in which his surname was printed on, to express their gratitude to AETOS for its support.

Councillor Mike Thomas said “I am very proud to watch the game dressed in the jersey with AETOS logo and my name printed on. We wish Sydney FC all the success in tomorrow’s match, and continue to be the leader of Australian football in Asia backed by the partnership with AETOS.”
