Sydney FC Academy School take out Bill Turner Cup

Endeavour Sports High School, one of Sydney FC Academy Schools, has taken out the Bill Turner Cup, a national schools competition at U15 level which saw over 850 schools participate.

Overall across the whole tournament, 23 players were given the opportunity to take the pitch which is a great achievement and nod to the focus on development which is core of the Sydney FC Academy Schools Program. In fact, 40% of the players in this tournament were eligible for U14’s which has provided them with great experience they will take into the rest of their football careers coming up against older and stronger opposition.

Endeavour lift the trophy aloft

Our Sydney FC Academy Football Schools program offers young players a full-time training environment, devised and delivered by highly qualified Sydney FC Academy approved coaches in a network of high performing schools.

Pupils combine their pursuit of academic excellence with year-round football training that reflects the Sydney FC Academy philosophies on playing, coaching, learning and talent identification.

Max Vartuli came through the Sydney FC Academy Schools Program and now plays for AaB Aalborg in Denmark

The result in the cup, while not necessarily the main focus, is a reflection of the entire program. The coaches are proud of the efforts of all players at the school, including and especially those whom could not take on the trip. An achievement like this is a testament to the quality and intensity of training at Endeavour.

Congratulations to all at Endeavour Sports High School on taking out this trophy!
