Two of the Isuzu UTE A-League top hot shots clash on Saturday when Kosta Barbarouses goes head to head against Adam Le Fondre.
Former Sydney FC star Barbarouses is back in the harbour city for the first time since his switch to Wellington Phoenix in the summer.

Ahead of his return, we take a look at how his stats compare to our marksman Adam Le Fondre across their A-League careers.
Since he made his debut in 2018, Adam Le Fondre has played in 92 Isuzu UTE A-League matches, scoring 53 goals and notching six assists. A true strikers return.

After coming through the Phoenix youth ranks, Kosta Barbarouses made his debut in 2007 and has played in 282 Isuzu UTE A-League encounters, scoring 79 goals and impressively adding 36 assists.
With that many games at his disposal, the Phoenix number seven would be hoping to find the net more often however his contribution in the assist column demonstrates his ability to set up team-mates.
But, having occasionally been deployed as a striker, the Kiwi would be hoping to have numbers as impressive as Le Fondre, who boasts a goals per game ratio of 0.58, one of the best ratios in the league.

Barbarouses can only shout about a ratio of 0.28, highlighting the Englishman’s potency in front of goal in his five seasons Down Under.
This season, with Le Fondre missing a few games due to injury, Kosta leads the pair in appearances and minutes.
The Englishman has done well to lead the way in goals with three in seven matches, compared to the Kiwi’s one in ten.

At Sydney FC, with the wingers dominating possession, Le Fondre has only touched the ball 82 times and undertaken 51 passes of which 70% have been successful. Barbarouses on the other hand has had 245 touches and attempted 173 passes, completing 74% of them.
With the expansive space of Allianz Stadium at both of their disposals this weekend, it is sure to be a show-down between two of the best the A-Leagues have seen when Ufuk Talay’s Wellington Phoenix take on Steve Corica’s Sydney FC.
