Australian international Jason Culina is to train with Sydney FC as he recovers from a serious knee injury.
The former PSV Eindhoven midfielder will continue his rehabilitation under the guidance of Sydney FC physio Stan Ivancic, and work alongside fellow Socceroo Brett Emerton and ex-Feyenoord defender Pascal Bosschaart as they return from long-term injury.
Sydney FC Football Director Gary Cole said: “Jason has had a terrible injury, he is a great guy and has been a wonderful servant of the Socceroos. As such we want to assist him to get back playing football as soon as possible.
“Jason is very happy with this position and is looking forward to regaining full fitness.
“Nothing has been discussed further than that,” he concluded.
Culina has been out of action since playing for Australia during the Asian Cup in Qatar in January 2011.
