CACERES SHOT DEFLECTED – 26’ – Caceres drives towards the Jets defence and curls a left foot shot towards the corner but it hits Ninkovic and goes just wide.
GOODWIN GOAL – 40’ – Mauragis crosses from the left to Goodwin who gets in between two defenders to head home.

What They Said: Steve Corica: “It was very flat in the first half, and we weren’t winning any second balls or challenges.
“We conceded two costly goals before half time. The second half was a little bit better and we created a couple of good chances.
“I think we had 13 shots and more possession but the timing of their goals cost us.
“We’ve got two derbies next week, Macarthur first on Wednesday and then Wanderers after that so it’s a short turn around and that’s a good thing to get back on the park.”
Alex Wilkinson: “They caught us twice in transition, they’ve got some fast players going forward and we’ve got to be better.
“It’s really disappointing, we got on a roll the last couple of weeks, but we’ve got two home games in the next few days so a good chance to bounce back.”

A quick fire first half double from Jets striker Archie Goodwin was the undoing of Sydney FC at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle tonight.
The striker scored a header and followed up with a right footed effort as the Sky Blues switched off for two minutes just before half time.
Sydney FC had a number of chances to pull the game back but were unable to take them with Segecic, Bobô and Talbot all going close.
The Sky Blues now head into two crucial derby home games next week with Macarthur FC and Western Sydney Wanderers set to head to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
