Sydney FC have reached their Membership target of 15,000 Members to set a new club record, the club confirmed today.

The club eclipsed their previous best figure when they hit 13,155 earlier this season (October 2017), and the new number represents a 20% increase year on year growth in numbers recorded by the Sky Blues.

A record number of Westfield W-League and AFC Champions League Members have also joined the club, following the successes of the last two seasons, with the Sky Blues leading the Hyundai A-League by five points and boasting the A-League’s leading goalscorer Bobô among their ranks.

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend heralded the milestone.

“It’s pleasing to see our Sydney FC family grow to the number it is now,” he said.

“Our Members are the backbone of the club and are a key reason to the successes we’ve enjoyed in the past two years.  There are exciting times ahead with everyone on board.

“I’d like to thank each Member for being a part of the Sky Blues and I trust you’ll enjoy the remainder of the season and the future ahead.”

Sydney FC Captain Alex Brosque thanked the 15,000 Members for their continued support.

“Our Members have always been fantastic,” he said.

“From the very first time I put on the Sky Blue jersey they’ve been the best in the league and continue to fill the players with pride every time we step out in front of them.

“It’s a fantastic achievement to reach 15,000, each and every Member should feel proud to be a part of the Sydney FC family.”
