Sydney FC midfielder Leo Sena has agreed to a mutual termination of the final year of his contract and will depart the club immediately.
The 29-year-old will join his partner at home in Brazil in the coming days after one season in Sky Blue.
Sena signed for Sydney FC in July 2024 and went on to make 31 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
“I would like to thank Sydney FC, my teammates, the staff and especially the Members and fans for making me feel welcome during my time in Australia,” said Sena.
“It has been an incredible experience to play for such a great club and I wish everyone at Sydney FC the very best for the future.”
Head Coach Ufuk Talay thanked the midfielder for is contribution last year.
“We are very appreciative of the role he played in our squad last season,” Talay said.
“He moves on now with our gratitude and we wish him well as he takes the next step in his career.”
