Ognenovski played a total of 10 games for the Sky Blues last season, racking up 896 minutes of football, with the former Socceroo playing every minute of every game bar one as Sydney FC reached the Elimination Finals.
Composed on the ball and strong in the tackle, Ognenovski amassed 508 touches, achieving a pass accuracy of 79.2%, as he made the third highest number of clearances (79) whilst protecting the Sky Blues goal.
The 2010 AFC Asian Footballer of the Year came out on top in over half of the 58 duels he was a part of (58.6%) as he finished the season with a tackle completion rate of 83.3%.
At the other end of the field Ognenovski proved a handful at every set piece opportunity, with the Macedonian scoring his first goal for the Sky Blues from a powerful header off a corner kick against the Newcastle Jets.
During his time in Asia, Ognenovski claimed the 2010 AFC Asian Champions League, being crowned Most Valuable Player in the Final, as well as the 2011 Korean FA Cup. The 35 year old has also been capped 22 times for the Socceroos, scoring one goal in the green and gold.
Ognenovski will be hoping to continue his formidable partnership at the heart of the Sky Blues defence with Sky Blues 2013/14 Player of the Year Nikola Petkovic, as Sydney FC only lost three out of the 10 matches he played in.
