Back in the NPL getting the legs moving, how’s it been for you?

It’s been fantastic. I’m really enjoying playing again and competing. It’s been a long time since I last played regularly so I’m buzzing to be having some competitive football again.

And you’ve been finding the back of net recently, that must be great for your confidence?

It’s the best form of confidence for me. I’m my own harshest critic, so when I don’t score I’m very hard on myself. It has been great to be playing and scoring again.

How do you think your involvement with the Hyundai A-League squad last season is helping you currently in the NPL?

Immensely. Learning, training and being around the A-League environment has improved my game ten-fold. I’ve matured mentally and physically and am learning everyday being with the HAL squad. So then it’s up to me to put that into practice during NPL games.

So what are you hoping to get out of these games with the NPL squad?

To enjoy my football. I want to score goals, regain match fitness and enjoy competing. I hate losing, so going into every game with a winning mentality and giving my all every single game.

What are your goals for the remainder of this season and beyond?

I want to be playing competitive football regularly. I want to be scoring goals week in, week out. I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best I can be and improve every day, so my mentality to that will never change. I know when I get my chance I’ll be ready to capitalise on it.
