Sydney FC Head Coach Ufuk Talay has given Sky Blues fans a boost ahead of a busy month of fixtures, revealing injuries to key players Leo Sena and Joel King are not as bad as feared.
Brazilian midfielder Sena was stretchered off the field early in Saturday’s game with Melbourne City following a clash with opposition striker Max Caputo in which he twisted his ankle ligaments.

Similarly, King was substituted midway through the second half with what appeared to be calf trouble.
However, the Sky Blues boss has said that the results of the scans have shown up good.
“Both players have recovered extremely well from the knocks on the weekend and neither players’ injuries are going to keep them out for a long period,” said Talay.
“We’re still monitoring both, particularly Leo, but the boys and our medical staff have done a fantastic job so I expect they’ll be available for us very soon.
“It’s a crucial period with seven very important games in a month and we are still in with the chance of a trophy on two fronts which means the more players we have available the better.
“We know how important it is to have a fully fit and settled squad having been unbeaten in nine games before last Saturday’s clash.”

Sydney FC’s squad head to Adelaide this weekend to face the team immediately above them in the ladder in 6th.
A win will see the Sky Blues leapfrog the Reds and go into the Finals Series places, before they fly to Singapore on Sunday for their ACL2, semi-final, first leg match against Lions City Sailors on Wednesday night.
