Sydney FC-s W-League Championship winning midfielder Teresa Polias has re-lived the glory of the Sky Blues Grand Final win by taking her medal and the W-League trophy to show her pupils.

The schoolteacher began term with her new class on Monday and started the day by telling the children what she did during her holidays.

“They are a great bunch of pupils and they have been very congratulatory towards me,” said the Canterbury South School teacher after handing around the trophy.

“They loved it, it-s very shiny and heavy and they all had a touch of it so it was nice.

“There were lots of good questions and hopefully that has educated them on what is out there and what you can achieve.”

Polias was an integral part of the title win playing in every game of the season, and still feels on top of the world.

“Yes it-s definitely back into reality, but saying that every time you think about the win there is a nice tingling feeling inside and it still hasn-t totally sunk in yet. It-s a nice feeling though.”

Teresa and her team mates will parade the trophy around the Allianz Stadium at half time during the A-League game with Brisbane this Sunday.

“We-ll be really looking forward to that, getting back together as well and watching the guys play.

“It should be great and we-ll probably get together and plan for the rest of the year too.”

With an average age of 19, the future bodes well for the Sydney FC W-League team, and Teresa is hopeful the team can go on and win more silverware.

“It-s very early days but I think everyone is keen to stay together being that we are such a young team. We are all looking forward to trying to defend our title together again.

Polias will play locally while the W-League takes a break, however she is also hoping the new Matilda-s coach Hesterine de Reus has spotted her exertions this year.

“I hope so, I-ve done what I can on the field so if it-s enough then great I-ll be looking forward to it but we-ll see how I go.”

Sydney FC are now offering BLOCKBUSTER 4-Packs for the final four home games of the regular season. The massive games include clashes with the reigning A-League Champions Brisbane Roar, the current top two in the standings Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United, plus another Big Blue and the fierce rivalry against Melbourne Victory, all at Allianz Stadium. Prices start from just $90 to see all four games as Sydney reach the exciting run-in to the A-League Finals Series.
