Play Football In 2017

The 2017 Winter football season is fast approaching with the first round of games kicking off in March for all football clubs around NSW.

Whether you are a player, coach, referee or volunteer, football is a widely popular sport for males and females of all ages and abilities, as well as being inclusive of everyone in the community. Football is a part of the daily life of more Australian households than any other mass participation sport and the successful running of a Grassroots football club could not be achieved without acknowledging the tireless work of the many volunteers associated with each club around NSW.

The 2017 Play Football campaign will once again include a recruitment drive for Grassroots coaches and referees as we look to develop the game even further and provide footballers with a memorable and enjoyable experience.

This year’s campaign will also build on the ALDI MiniRoos program – a smaller version of football that provides boys and girls aged 4-11 with a fun introduction to the world game.

MiniRoos it is all about having fun, learning new skills and making life-long friends to ensure that the junior footballers develop a love for playing football for many years to come.

However, Sydney FC know that football is a life-long game and we know we have many Members and fans who still wish to play in their 20s, 30s, and even well into their golden years. Plus, if you can’t play anymore there is still penty of ways to get involved with your game at grassroots level.

If you still need to find your closest club, Sydney FC are proud to partner with many associations within the club’s heartland and we urge you to visit your local associations website to find your nearest club.
