Sydney FC’s trip to New Zealand to take on Wellington Phoenix in 2024 has been confirmed for Eden Park in Auckland.
The venue was awaiting confirmation and the Kiwi’s announced the news today on their channels that the Sky Blues would be returning there after they did so in March of 2023.
In 2023, a singular goal to the hosts was enough to oversee Steve Corica’s side despite Robert Mak hitting the upright in the first half and Joe Lolley going close on a few occasions.
This will be a tough trip for Sydney FC with the Phoenix yet to lose a game at the venue, however if anyone will know a way past the ‘Nix it will be their former boss and now Head Coach at Sydney FC, Ufuk Talay.
