Our Season 22/23 Games Revealed

Sydney FC will open the season with a blockbuster homecoming opening round clash at Allianz Stadium against Big Blue rivals Melbourne Victory, and their new signing from Manchester United, Nani.

And there’s not long to wait until the highly-anticipated return of ex-Sky Blue Milos Ninkovic for an explosive Sydney Derby clash on Saturday 12 November.

Steve Corica’s men will face both Victory and the Wanderers twice at home during the Isuzu-UTE A-League 2022-23 campaign, with the first two match-ups coming before the World Cup break in mid-November.

All of Sydney’s home games are on weekends and six fixtures kick off at a family friendly time of either 3pm or 5pm.

The Draw in a Nutshell

We face Melbourne Victory in our opening game.

The first Sydney Derby is lined up for Saturday November 12.

Victory and Wanderers visit the Allianz Stadium twice.

There’s six games at family friendly kick off times.

Dwight Yorke returns in our Christmas Eve clash against Macarthur FC.

The final game is against Newcastle on Sat 29 April


The Sky Blues will also welcome Hall Of Famer Dwight Yorke back to Moore Park for the first time on Christmas Eve when he brings his Macarthur FC side to Allianz Stadium.

Head Coach Steve Corica says the huge opening clashes have whetted the appetite for the season.

“The season opener against Victory will be the first chance for our Members to see our new stadium on a matchday, and the atmosphere will be electric,” he said.

“To follow that up with a Sydney Derby right before the World Cup means it’s going to be an incredible time for football fans.

“It’s an excellent draw with two home games against two of our biggest rivals, and the fixtures all well-spaced to give us every opportunity to perform.

“It’s a draw to excite all football fans and and Members will get the best seats in the stadium to watch the games from.”

In an exciting first month the squad’s Championship credentials will be tested when they travel to Isuzu-UTE A-League 2021-22 Champions Western United in round two for the first away game of the season.

Adelaide United visit in round 3 with former Champions Melbourne City the first visitors to the new ground in December, after the World Cup break.

Games at Macarthur and Brisbane also follow before the fiery home Sydney Derby in round 6.

The traditional Australia Day fixture away to Melbourne Victory is penned in while the Sky Blues also face home matches against Central Coast Mariners, Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane Roar, Western United, Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets in the final round.

In total Sydney FC have 13 home matches while 13 will be away from home.

Corica’s men face Western Sydney Wanderers, Melbourne Victory, Western United and Brisbane Roar three times and all the others twice.
