O’Toole And Vlastelica Leave Sydney FC

Defender Connor O’Toole is to leave Sydney FC after the club agreed to terminate his contract and allow him to seek more regular first team opportunities elsewhere.

O’Toole departs after 18 months and 21 appearances in Sky Blue since signing from Newcastle Jets in July 2021.

The former Olyroos full back thanked the club and the supporters wishing the squad well.

“I’ve enjoyed my time at Sydney FC immensely, working with a fantastic group of players and staff.

“It has been a pleasure to play in front of the Sydney FC Members and fans and I thank them for their support.

“There is still a lot to play for and I hope the boys can go on and lift some silverware at the end of the season.”

Full back Connor O’Toole leaves to pursue another opportunity.

Meanwhile central defender Adrian Vlastelica leaves following the conclusion of his injury replacement contract.

The Sydney United skipper, who led the club to the Australia Cup Final, replaced Alex Wilkinson while he recovered from a groin operation.

Head Coach Steve Corica thanked both players for their service.

“Connor and Adrian are fantastic professionals and have given us good squad depth when we’ve needed them.

“They’ve fitted in extremely well to our club culture and we wish them very successful future careers.”

Vlastelica made two appearances during his three-month spell with the club.
