Sydney FC’s exclusive 2018/19 Season Launch at The Star Sydney has secured another high-profile name with NSW Government Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres MP to join Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust (SCGT) Chairman Tony Shepherd on stage as a guest speaker.
The pair will join the Sky Blues’ Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League squads on stage at The Star, Sydney on Wednesday 17 October as the club officially commences proceedings for the 2018/19 season.
The Minister for Sport will offer further insight into the redevelopment of the Sky Blues’ home at Allianz Stadium and the overall scope of Sydney’s sporting infrastructure overhaul.
Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend welcomed Ayres’ inclusion at the Sky Blues’ Season Launch.
“Minister Ayres is a welcome addition to our Season Launch and I’m very much looking forward to having him play his part as we celebrate the kick off of the 2018/19 season,” Townsend said.
“Minister Ayres will no doubt provide an excellent insight into the overall stadium infrastructure and sporting facilities investment from a NSW Government perspective and I’m excited to hear more about those plans for the future.”
The Sky Blues’ Season Launch will see both the A-League and W-League playing squads and staff presented on stage, with Head Coaches Steve Corica, Ante Juric and both team Captains hosting Q&A sessions on stage too.
