Sydney FC midfielder Milos Ninkovic has today been named by the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) as PFA A-League Player of the Month for October.
Proudly supported by LUCRF Super and Travellers Choice, the award is voted on by all of the PFA’s A-League based members with the Sky Blues midfielder narrowly edging out Melbourne Victory forward Marco Rojas.
Having enjoyed a stellar October, leading the club to an unbeaten start to the season and scoring twice, the Serbia International said he was delighted to have been named as the PFA A-League Player of the Month.
“To be voted by my fellow professionals as the PFA player of the month is a huge honour,” said Ninkovic.
“It has been a fantastic start to the season for the club and to receive this award makes it even better. Without the hard work of all my teammates and everyone at the club it would not have been possible for me to win this award.”
PFA President Alex Wilkinson said Ninkovic’s form in the opening rounds of the competition made him a worthy winner.
“Milos has been outstanding for the club this season and is deserving of this recognition,” said Wilkinson.
“Milos has starred in what has been a promising start to the season for the A-League as a whole.”
