Nicola Bolger is a pacey young midfielder who has represented Sydney FC for all Westfield W-League seasons bar one. Bolger played for the Sky Blues between 2008 and 2011, making 16 appearances and scoring two goals before spending a season at the Newcastle Jets. Bolger returned to Sydney FC in 2012 and became an instrumental part of former Head Coach Alen Stajcic’s squad as the Sky Blues clinched the Championship in 2012. Since her return Bolger has made 38 appearances, scoring nine goals, and played a part in Syndey FC’s third place in the world finish at the mobcast International Women’s Club Championship in 2013. Bolger was a member of the Westfield Matildas FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 squad and continues to prove intergral in the Sky Blues midfield.
