Several of Sydney FC-s rising stars have been recognised for their outstanding efforts in the inaugural season of the National Youth League with junior Sky Blues dominating the Qantas Young Socceroos squad named on Tuesday, ahead of the upcoming FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
Five Sydney players have been named in the 25-member national team, including debutants, Rhyan Grant, Kofi Danning and Chris Payne, while former Sydney FC youth team members, now Newcastle Jets, Nik Tsattalios and Sean Rooney have also been selected in the extended squad.
