Sydney FC is pleased to announce midfielder Stuart Musialik has signed a one-year extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2010/11 Hyundai A-League season.
Sydney FC is pleased to announce midfielder Stuart Musialik has signed a one-year extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2010/11 Hyundai A-League season.
Since joining Sydney FC at the start of the 2008/09 campaign, the 24-year-old has played 34 matches for the Sky Blues and has become an integral part of the club’s midfield line-up.
“I have been at Sydney for almost two years and I have enjoyed every bit of it,” Musialik said.
“We have a tight knit group here and we work hard together. Being a part of that is important to me.
Musialik, who starred for Australia at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, played 58 matches for the Newcastle Jets between 2005 and 2008 before joining Sydney FC.
“Stuart is a very important part of the team so we are very happy about this news,” coach Vitezslav Lavicka said.
“He runs hard, is very skilled and plays with passion.
“He has responded to what we asked of him and he has been playing good football.”
Musialik, alongside the entire Sydney FC playing squad is currently enjoying a short break, before returning to training on Monday 4 January, 2010 in the lead up to their away match against Perth Glory on Sunday 10 January.
