Sydney FC midfielder Hirofumi Moriyasu will play a four match guest stint with APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the NSW Premier League, starting this weekend.
Moriyasu joined Sydney FC from APIA Leichhardt Tigers in 2010 and will make his return to the NSW Premier League on Saturday night when APIA takes on Parramatta FC at Melita Stadium.
“We were approached by APIA Leichhardt to release Hiro for a four match guest stint in the NSW Premier League and we are more than happy to allow Hiro to help out his former club,” said Sydney FC Acting CEO Stefan Kamasz.
“Sydney FC has enjoyed a good relationship with APIA Leichhardt, as well as other Premier League and State League clubs, and we are more than happy to assist the NSW Premier League. Hiro came to us from APIA and we believe it is appropriate we allow him to return for four games in this case.”
Following the clash with Parramatta FC on Saturday, Moriyasu will also line up for the Tigers against Manly United, Sydney Olympic and Rockdale City Suns.
“APIA Leichhardt Tigers is very grateful for Sydney FC granting permission for Hiro to come back to the club for a four-match guest stint,” said APIA Leichhardt Tigers President Tony Raciti. “It is greatly appreciated by our club.
“Hiro is an exceptional player that will add tremendous value to our team and club over the next four weeks.
“APIA Leichhardt looks forward to maintaining the excellent relationship we have built between the two clubs since the start of the A-League. With the upgrade of Lambert Park we are confident the relationship between Sydney FC and APIA Leichhardt will become even stronger.”
Moriyasu will return to Sydney FC on 14 May and join his Sydney FC team mates as they start phase one of preparation for the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League.
