Members Appreciation Round

What a great time we had at the Newcastle Jets game on Saturday – as we celebrated Members Appreciation Round.

Not only did we notch up a 2-0 win, but we were also able to reward our Members with plenty of great giveaways and exclusive activities.

As well as the jam-packed Junior Blue Fan Zone and Face Painting, we also saw smiling Members taking the opportunity to make the most of the special activations we lined up as you can see below.

Upgrades to Tunnel Club:

We invited a family to spend the evening watching the game in our Tunnel Club hospitality experience. They were able to high-five the players as they lined up for the game, enjoy some great Merivale food and take in the whole match from premium cushioned seats positioned above the Sydney FC team bench.

Under Armour kit upgrade:

Three members of the same family were presented with vouchers to grab the latest Sydney FC jersey from our Stadium Store, thanks to Under Armour. This great giveaway came just days after Sydney FC and Under Armour signed a new three season partnership.

Kennards Hire Best Seats in the House:

Seven lucky people enjoyed a money-can’t-buy experience like no other. They were able to watch the whole game from the touchline as our partner Kennards Hire pulled out all the stops to reward Members. They were in the perfect spot to see Patrick Wood score the second goal in the win and left with a Kennards Hire Goodies Pack full of cracking merchandise.

Free Membership Renewals:

We bumped into some friendly Members before kick-off and rewarded their loyalty by providing them with a Free Membership for next season. How good!

Macca’s Lucky Row:

A whole row of Members enjoyed a post-game meal at McDonald’s after they were selected to receive gift cards from our partner.

Members Pre-Gates Pitch Inspection:

Nearly 50 Members were invited to join us before the Gates opened for a rare behind-the-scenes experience, taking the opportunity to check out the playing surface and grab some great selfies to share with their friends.

Pitch Side Warm Up

Over 100 Members got close up to the action by taking up a spot at the side of the pitch to watch Sydney FC warm-up. After seeing Andrew Redmayne put through his paces, the Members were metres away from Joe Lolley, Adam Le Fondre and the rest of the team as they geared up for the big kick-off.

Walk Out Experiences:

To add colour to the team’s entry a Guard of Honour, Championship and Premiership Banners and Club Giant Logo were all held by Members as the two teams entered the field for the game.

Half-Time Heroes:

A group of loyal Members pulled on their boots at the break and got stuck into a mini-game on the Allianz Stadium turf – delighting the crowd with their skills and goal scoring efforts.

The Toddler Race:

The highlight of the day saw the heat winners of the Toddler Race dart from the half-way line in their mission to score in front of The Cove. Cheered on by spectators, the little boys and girls had great fun scoring goals and taking pictures with their parents.

Clubhouse Player Visit:

Our Clubhouse Members were treated to a signing session and a chance to discuss Adam Le Fondre’s first half goal when Jack Rodwell, Adam Pavlesic, Alex Parsons and Corey Hollman joined them in the bar at the interval.

Special Member Treat:

Joan Garrick is our oldest Member at the grand old age of 96. Our Membership team picked her up from her St Ives home in our Sydney FC Isuzu UTE and delivered her to the Stadium where she watched the pre-game First XI Schools Cup Final from Steve Corica’s seat on the bench. Joan walked out onto the pitch before kick-off to take part in the Coin Toss with the referee and captains, before enjoying the Tunnel Club Hospitality for the game with her family.

Ball Presenter:

Member Luca Kingsman was chosen to deliver the match ball to the officials just before the game started in another memorable experience.

All Members were able to claim an additional 20% discount on merchandise at the Stadium Store on the day and of course, saw Sydney FC finish the regular season with a strong victory over the Jets that confirmed their fifth-place spot in the ladder and an Elimination Final clash with Western Sydney Wanderers.

Missed out on all the fun? Sign up for a Sydney FC Membership in 2023/24 to get in on the action. Membership will go on sale in June 2023.
