The race for the Premiers Plate enters its final stages as football returns with the Sky Blues’ clash against the Phoenix on Friday night.
A win against the Kiwis would see Sydney FC requiring only one more point from their remaining fixtures to claim a record-breaking fourth Hyundai A-League title.
If the previous two encounters against Wellington are anything to go by, expect excitement, with a 2-1 win and 2-2 draw for the Sky Blues recorded in 2019.
The Wellington Phoenix are sitting in third spot and will fancy their chances of catching second placed Melbourne City, with Ufuk Talay’s squad having six matches remaining in 2019/20.
Both teams will be looking to build momentum heading into the Finals Series, and with Adam Le Fondre eyeing off the Hyundai A-League Golden Boot, expect goals at Kogarah.
