Sydney FC’s Macquarie University Holiday Clinics kicked off with a bang on Monday as over 100 children took part in the first day’s session at Sydney FC’s training base.
As an added bonus the participants were treated to an exclusive signing session, with the entire Hyundai A-League squad including new boys Jacques Faty and Mickael Tavares on hand to sign everything from football shirts to boots and posters.
Sydney FC’s Holiday Clinics are led by former Socceroo and Sky Blue Paul Reid and he expressed delight at how the first day of the clinics panned out.
“Monday was a great start to the ever popular Macquarie Clinics,” he said.
“There were plenty of familiar faces from previous clinics, as well as many new participants all eager to learn and improve their skills.
“The signing session with the Hyundai A-League squad was easily the highlight of the day,” he continued.
“The look on the kid’s faces when they met their heroes was inspiring and that’s what makes Sydney FC’s Holiday Clinics very unique and memorable.
“I’m looking forward to working with this great group of kids for another two days and I hope they can leave these clinics confident in their footballing ability.”
The Clinics continue to roll on as the term one of school draws near, with the Abbotsford Juniors Football Club and Abbotsford Juniors Football Club Girls clinics getting underway at Campbell Park, Chiswick on Wednesday. Register your child today for the final two clinics before school returns.
