Sydney FC will fight for the first place against their undefeated rivals Perth Glory this Saturday 18 October at the Ashfield Sports Club, Perth (kick off 7:30pm) in a Westfield W-League top of the table clash.

With both teams yet to lose a match in the 2014 Westfield W-League season, Sydney FC’s Chloe Logarzo says that while her team are in a great position, anything could happen on the day as they come up against a Glory side who have scored 20 goals for only four in concession.

“It’s important not to get a big head. We have to keep grounded and try not to let the winds take over,” Logarzo said.

“It’s a good feeling knowing that we’ve been successful in the mixes we’ve been putting into play.

“A win would be nice but we’re not really expecting any kind of result. We just need to go out there and try as hard as we can.”

The 19 year old forward is excited to be taking on former Sydney FC teammates Caitlin Foord and Samantha Kerr and believes the Sky Blues can use the knowledge of their game to their advantage.

“We know how to play them, we know exactly what they like to do,” she said.

“We can use this against them and try and shut them down and get them out of the game.”

Logarzo says the Sky Blues coaching staff have played a major part in Sydney FC’s success this season and the transition from Alen Stajcic to Dan Barrett has and will be an easy one.

“We’ve got great coaching staff behind us,” she said.

“With Staj leaving we’ve picked up a new coach in Dan. I’ve been coached underneath him for the last two years and he’s a great coach with a very similar style to Staj.”

Having such a strong start to the season, Logarzo has high hopes both individually and for her team.

“I am pretty confident in the way we are playing this season and I think we have a good chance of making the top four,” she said.

“For me individually, I want to stay in the starting eleven and be an influential player in the league.”
