Sydney FC star Adam Le Fondre has called for the Sky Blues to put on a show at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday night as they contest the third #SydneyDerby of the season (kick off 7:30pm AEDT).

With no fans in attendance, Le Fondre is eyeing the unique circumstances as a way for showcasing all that is great about the Hyundai A-League and Australian football, with a large influx of international viewers expected on the broadcast.

“The only games we’ve really had behind closed doors are the first friendly or a training match,” Le Fondre said.

“There’s going to be a strange feeling to it but the whole football community will be watching on. We’re one of the few leagues carrying on so it’s on us to put on a good show.

“It’s a great opportunity to garner interest in the league, put on a great show and drum up even more fans for the clubs and the league itself.

“It’s great for us because a lot more people will be watching.”

The Golden Boot has desires for the Sky Blues to secure the Hyundai A-League Premiership as soon as possible, as he said victory would come as long as the team takes their chances in front of goal.

“When we’ve created good chances we’ve normally put them away and won the game,” he said.

“The two Wanderers games, we had great possession of the ball, great chances and not managed to capitalize but they have and took their chance. It’s on us to implement our game plan on them and covert those chances.

“We want to wrap the league up as quickly as possible and put shows on for our fans. That’s what we’re about here at Sydney FC.”

It’s sure to be another battle at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday, tune in to Fox Sports 505 or stream on the My Football Live App to back your Sky Blues.
