The jerseys are up for auction with proceeds going to help CMRI search for cures for childhood diseases.
All 15 of the one-off Community Strips, launched through an adidas miTeam promotion, have been signed by all 15 players and are available for auction ONLY until 7.30pm this evening on the Sydney FC website.
There are no more Sydney FC Community Strips available for public sale after the limited number of shirts were snapped up by Sky Blues fans before Sunday’s Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar match kicked off at Allianz Stadium.
“This is a great opportunity for Sydney FC fans to own a piece of history,” said Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata. “How special would it be to own the Sydney FC strip that Alessandro Del Piero broke the club goalscoring record or the shirt Peter Triantis wore to net the winner.
“The shirts are being auctioned on the my.sydneyfc.com website and we will be making a donation to the Children-s Medical Research Institute to help them help children everywhere.”
The Auction, which is being run through the my.sydneyfc.com website, started 9am Monday 11 February through to 7.30pm tonight (15 February).
The Sky Blues will be looking for their fifth home win in a row when we take on fellow Finals contenders Adelaide United at Allianz Stadium this Saturday night (16th Feb). A win could give Sydney breathing space over their Finals Series rivals as the race gets down to the business end.
