CACERES GREAT SHOT – 55’ – Caceres picks the ball up on the halfway line, dribbles inside to unleash a ferocious shot which Freke tips over for a corner.

DONACHIE SENT OFF – 82’ – A sliding tackle from Donachie is just mis-timed and he’s sent off for a second bookable offence.

RETRE & GRANT CLEARED OFF THE LINE – 90’+1’ – It’s like pinball in the Sydney FC box with King blocking the first shot inside the six-yard area and a combination of Retre & Grant clearing a second shot off the goal-line.

Sydney FC celebrate making a fourth FFA Cup Semi-Final in their history after a 1-0 victory over Brisbane Roar.

What They Said: Steve Corica: “A lot of these boys have just got out of isolation from having Covid-19 and then three days later they are playing a game, that’s probably the reason it wasn’t the best of games tonight.

“We went down to 10 men tonight as well which made it a little bit harder for us in the last ten minutes or so.

“In the end though we got the win and we move into the semi-final of the Cup which is great against Central Coast.

“We play Brisbane again in three days, and we’ve just got to prepare right and it was only a 1-0 win tonight.
