Juric Excited By Westfield W-League Draw

Sydney FC Head Coach Ante Juric said he’s excited by the Westfield W-League Season 2019/20 draw revealed today, as he set his sights on defending the Sky Blues’ crown.

With 15 of the Sky Blues’ Championship winning squad returning for the new season, Juric is confident of going back to back with a series of bumper clashes in store, including a number of Hyundai A-League double headers.

“It’s great to have the fixtures laid out in front of us and I’m looking forward to a very promising season ahead,” Juric said.

“It will be a tough contest first up against Melbourne before two testing away games, but with 15 Championship winners back I have faith in our squad to get the job done.

“At Sydney FC we’re all about silverware and with a glance at the season ahead I know we’ll be right up there again.”

Sydney FC will kick off their title defence at home against Melbourne Victory at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday 17 November, before facing two tough away trips with Adelaide United and 2019 runners up Perth Glory up next.

After a home fixture at Cromer Park against Melbourne City there’s three Hyundai A-League double headers in store, twice away at McDonald Jones Stadium and Bankwest Stadium against the Jets and Wanderers respectively, before hosting Adelaide United at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium to round out 2019.

The Sky Blues will kick off 2020 with an away fixture against Canberra United, before a home clash at Leichhardt Oval against Brisbane Roar precedes a BYE and the FIFA women’s international break.

Following the break, games resume in the middle of February with home encounters against the Wanderers at Cromer Park and Perth Glory at WIN Stadium, Wollongong, with the season closing out with an away #BigBlue at Marvel Stadium on Saturday 29 February.
