Sydney FC-s third strip design competition has been won, and submitted to adidas, as the Sky Blues look ahead to their charity game kick off that will take place in the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season.

In a competition that saw over 200 entries of all unique designs and colours, 17 year old Jarrod Radcliffe-s creation (number 1) came out on top after the players voted in his favour this week, clearly liking what they saw.

Jarrod-s design sees a tinge of orange return to the Sydney FC kit, with a sharp V-neck collar, while a white sash streaks across the front of the jersey. Sky Blue and navy are the predominant colours in the strip that will be worn by the players in next seasons to be decided match.

Jarrod said he was overjoyed to be selected as the winner and is as keen as ever for the new season to roll around so he can see his heroes competing in his design.

“It-s great, I-ll be stoked to see the boys wear the jersey on the field,” he said.

“It-s going to be great to not only see the boys playing in it but also getting a copy of the jersey that I made up.

“I was meant to be studying for exams and I thought I-d just whip up a couple of designs and I sent them to some mates; they liked them so I entered them. I thought I was no chance to win.”

In taking out the competition Jarrod has won two pitch side seats to the Sky Blue-s charity match next season at Allianz Stadium, two VIP-Pregame passes to watch Sydney FC warm up from the field of play and a copy of his designed third strip.
