Saturday-s clash with the Wellington Phoenix will be a memorable one for Sydney FC goalkeeper Ivan Necevski for more than one reason.
While he starts his third consecutive game in more than a year, there’s another factor which makes it a special day for the stopper.
“Yeah absolutely, I-m turning 32 on Saturday night,” said the keeper.
“It would be a very good occasion for me if we do play well and do get the three points, especially playing at home in front of our own fans.
“The Cove-s going to be yelling their hearts out so we can give them a bit of a present as well.”
Wellington go into the Sydney Football Stadium match on the back of two defeats.
“I think they will come out swinging, especially last week after a loss to Central Coast,” said Ivan.
“But I think we-re getting them at a really good time as well. They-ll be on a bit of a downer after the loss last week, so hopefully we can use that and take a bit of momentum into Saturday night.”
