Ins & Outs | New injury concern and one star returns

This weekend there is plenty on the line for both the Men’s and Women’s sides at Allianz Stadium as we near the end of the A-League season.

Unfortunately for Steve Corica’s side, they will be without one of their consistent starters after he picked up an injury last weekend in Adelaide.

For Ante Juric though, he can welcome back into the fold a star defender for the crucial Semi Final clash and there’s good news about Matildas striker Cortnee Vine.

Men’s

Steve Corica has almost a full squad at his disposal for Sunday’s must win match with Perth Glory.

Unfortunately, he will be without Diego Caballo who misses out due to a hamstring strain which he picked up late in the Good Friday match against Adelaide United. This will see him miss this weekend’s match while he aims to be back for the clash against Brisbane Roar in a week’s time.

Diego Caballo misses this week’s clash

It is also great to see Jaiden Kucharski and Alex Parsons welcomed back into the squad after some strong minutes in the NPL last weekend.

James Donachie also is named after just missing out for the Adelaide clash.

Women’s

Ante Juric has a full squad at his disposal for this massive Semi Final against Western United.

After breaking her cheekbone against Sunday’s opponents, Charlotte McLean has passed all necessary testing and is available for selection in this high stakes match-up. The defender underwent surgery and has been itching to return to competitive action.

Charlotte McLean is named in the squad once again

Despite limping off for the Matildas on Wednesday morning, Cortnee Vine is included in the squad and will be looking to have a similar impact on the contest as she did in last year’s Semi Final.

Mary Stancic-Floody, Abbey Lemon and Jynaya Dos Santos are also included in the squad and will be looking to feature.
