Ins & Outs | Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s & Liberty A-League Women’s

The squad has been released for the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day fixtures for Sydney FC Women & Men’s squads.

With suspensions, returns from injuries and overseas transfers, this week’s squads see a few changes.

Steve Corica has brough in three key players for the trip to Newcastle on the 1st of January, most notably the return of stand in captain Luke Brattan who amassed five yellow cards and missed last week’s clash with Macarthur. He will be a great addition to the centre midfield along with Max Burgess who is returning from his concussion which he picked up against the Mariners.

Importantly, Jack Rodwell has overcome his injury to make the squad once more after coming off at half time against Melbourne City. That was his only appearance so far in Sky Blue and he will be hoping to add more this weekend against the Jets,

Joe Lolley drops out of the squad following his red card against Macarthur FC which will see him miss the next two matches and he will be available for the match against Perth Glory on the 14th of January.

After a highly impressive performance against rivals Western Sydney Wanderers, Ante Juric has made a few forced changes to the squad ahead of the trip to Queensland for the chhallege of Brisbane Roar.

He will be without his striker Remy Siemsen who has earnt a move overseas in a club and league record fee and she will be unavailable for the remainder of the season. This paves the way for Madison Haley to make her return to the squad after she missed the Wanderers clash with a niggle.
